Whether you’re looking for a place to rekindle the spark in your relationship or hoping to find your dream honeymoon spot, the world is full of beautiful destinations that are ideal for loved up couples. We’ve picked a few of our favorite romantic spots to help you narrow things down.

  1. Paris, France

For cosmopolitan couples hoping to take a cultural city break for their romantic getaway, Paris is the most obvious destination of choice. You and your partner can visit the world famous Louvre to get your cultural fix, stroll through the Palais-Royal gardens for some quiet time to yourselves and ride the elevators all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower for the ultimate romantic experience. If you’re travelling on a budget, Paris is the perfect city to stroll around and enjoy without spending much money at all. Even if the culture and views don’t interest you, the fantastic food certainly will.

  1. Venice, Italy

Rome may be the Italian city of choice for history buffs, but Venice is definitely your best bet for a romantic vacation far from home. Gondola is the transport of choice for couples in Venice, so sit back and relax as you take in the city’s famous canals, delicious food and historic architecture. With a quieter atmosphere than Rome and a mysterious edge that is unmatched by any other city, Venice is the perfect hideaway for lovers.

  1. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Bora Bora is one of the world’s most popular honeymoon spots thanks to its lush scenery, incredible beaches and romantic sunsets. The island has so many luxurious, beautiful hotels that it would be difficult to pick out the best, and there is a beach to suit every mood, from busy and bustling to secluded and serene. Explore Bora Bora’s blue lagoons with a snorkel to see the tropical fish that fill the water or go jet skiing for a more adventurous romantic getaway.

  1. Maui, Hawaii

If you’re looking for white sandy beaches and a relaxed, laid back atmosphere, you can’t do much better than Maui. This beautiful island offers large luxurious resorts or quaint coastal hotels, with activities to suit any couple’s interests. Take a hike through the Haleakala National Park for some incredible views of the volcanic crater and keep an eye out for whales if you’re visiting in the winter season. Maui is one of those magical vacation destinations that will make you feel like uprooting your whole life and moving to the island- just make sure you’ve booked your return flight in advance so you can resist the temptation.

  1. Bali, Indonesia

Between its stunning scenery and fascinating culture, Bali is a wonderful place to relax, unwind and enjoy time with your partner. You can explore the clear, calm beaches and the many historic temples by day and then sit back and enjoy some of Indonesia’s delicious cuisine by night. Bali has also maintained many of its local traditions despite the influx of tourism, so be sure to take the time to soak up the island’s unique culture.
